Port City Shakedown is here to assist you with the music entertainment for your ceremony, cocktail, elegant dinner, or any other specialized event. They work closely with top musicians in the community, giving you the option of adding a solo musician to your event or ceremony such as violin, piano, steel pans, classical guitar, etc.

Or, you can have a song played on the iPad during the ceremony. Additional services offered include, sound reinforcement (speakers & microphone) for indoor or outdoor services.

Port City Shakedown is a powerhouse six piece party/dance band featuring drums, bass, keys, guitar, female vocalist, and male vocalist. For those who want to take the already explosive core group up a notch, you can add one or both of the “PCS Brass Masters” horn section or a percussion player. This is live music at its most exciting, and a night you & your guests will never forget!

Port City Shakedown, LLC offers you and your guests an upscale, sophisticated, live music experience, performing classic to modern dance music that is second to none! From ceremony music, DJ services during breaks and cocktails, a mix of jazz instrumentals during dinner, MC services throughout the event, professional booking and planning, and of course, an exciting, high energy dance band. The very best of everything!

When you choose Port City Shakedown for your special celebration, you will undeniably benefit from the highest standard of professionalism, integrity, and entertainment. The satisfaction of deeply pleasing people through music and dance is what motivates the members of Port City Shakedown.

Early Set Up - Our team typically arrives 2 hours in advance of your event to ensure that your guests walk in to a completely finished room.

Emcee Services - We will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening, handling any announcements from the introduction of the wedding party to introducing any toasts or speeches, cake cutting, blessings, etc.

DJ Service - We provide music via an iPod during cocktails, introductions, dinner and band breaks. You can send us a list of songs you'd like to hear and/or share your Spotify playlist with us.

Dance Sets - Full 6-piece band with male and female vocalist. A dance set is 1 hour of music followed by a 10 min break. During the breaks the band will play music (DJ Service) through their state of the art sound system to keep your guests entertained.

Contract & Music Planner Spreadsheet - We know that teamwork and planning are the keys to a successful event. We will keep in touch with you and your planner, every step of the way to make sure we're all on the same page. In order to do that, we use a collaborative Google spreadsheet that allows you to list all activities, songs and special music requests.
